The Triangle Orchestra is for music students or young upcoming professional musicians. Applicants must be registered residents (citizenship not required) in France, Poland or Germany. The age limit is 30 (born after August 1, 1988).
At this point (May 30th) we are especially encouraging musicians from Germany and France to apply. We are still looking for a clarinetist, an englishornist as well as a percussionist, one tenor and three bass singers.
Singers:
(either choir members or soloists):
2 sopranos, 2 altos, 2 tenors, 2 basses
Orchestra:
2 Flutes (1 doubles on piccolo)
1 Oboe
1 Clarinet in Bb or C
1 English Horn
1 Bassoon
1 Piano (doubles on celeste)
1 Percussion (2 Timpani, 1 Tenor Drum, Gong, Triangle, Claves)
4 First Violins
4 Second Violins
3 Violas
2 Violoncelli
2 Double Bass
We will cover travel and accommodation expenses in all three locations, but ask that you contribute by hosting other orchestra members or helping them find accommodation with friends or family in your town.
We will also cover most, but not all, food expenses, meaning that you might occasionally have to buy your own food.
We are asking for a contribution of 200 euros for participants from Germany and France, and 600 zlotys for participants from Poland. For university/school students from Germany and France under the age of 26, we are asking 150 EUR and 300 zlotys for participants from Poland. We have some scholarship positions available for this project for students whose economic situation is difficult.
